I bet Blizzard never saw this coming! Deckard and Griswold are probably rolling over in their graves, unless they're still in some level of hell...

A Nation Divided?
Alright....I'm sure to get some wrathful reaction because of this. I saw this on another blog and decided to steal the idea. Also I promise, no more gloating after this one. Cross my heart.
Well, it really doesn't say anything. I mean, I saw people in 2000 do the same thing. Well, more people still voted for Gore. There's just vast stretches of red state land that have very few people living there (rural areas).
And c'mon guys, let's get real. 51 percent is just barely a majority, and as for the congressional races... Well, the Republicans won the remaining Dem Senate seats (due to a slew of Democratic retirements this year) in the South and places like OK and SD. That's not a big surprise or victory. It's just the natural realignment. They've been going red for years. And the increase of 4 House seats is because the Republicans redistricted Texas to give Republicans a very unbalanced advantage. And it's Texas anyway. The truth is, everything just favored the Republicans on that score.
Bush won the election. No ones denies that. But it was hardly a Nixon or Reagan landslide. The country is still very much divided and I think it best if perhaps you didn't shove it in people's faces (especially outside the blog) or treat this as some kind of mandate.
Adam, dude, take a chill pill. I'm just being an asshole and trying to get a laugh. I know it was a close race and like 2 people live in Wyoming.
I felt both Bush and Kerry had good ideas for the next four years. But when it came down to it, I had to choose or else flush my vote down the crapper where Ralphie lives. And I decided that Bush was the lesser of two evils (as it is with most presidential elections in my opinion).
Besides, in a few days all this nonsense will be archived, or else John will make it disappear with a wave of his wireless mouse.

Hey, Dallas County only went for Bush by like 10,000 votes! That should make it slightly pink at the most.
