Ethical Relativism: Enlightened or Benighted?
For those of you who care to think about such things, click on the title of this post to read my latest discussion of this topic. This comes as the last round (from my perspective) of a long discussion that I've had with Nat-Wu.
I guess this is also an opportunity for me to introduce you to my other blog, Creationist Books. A blog where I post book reviews and discussions about creationism and intelligent design.

Hey man, this blog is for FUN. How dare you post fact-hating, biased, b.s. FACK YOU MAN!
Oh wait, sorry, I was briefly possessed for a minute by a Wolfe spirit. Back to normal now.

Seamus - You really don't have to pretend to be smart by stealing book reviews from other sites and posting them as your own. We all know you can't read. But it's ok. We love you for who you are. Not for how dumb you are. Now quit wasting time on book reviews and google up something good!
7:50 AM
Hey, feels, whether you're poking fun at us or not, I'd appreciate if you don't put real names on here. I don't use my real name for a reason, and if you want us all to respect your choice as well, please respect ours. Thanks.
10:18 AM
What? Nat Wu...really? We all know that isn't even your real name. Just cause your ashamed to be names Bruce...
It's like i said before: You can't go fishing with a weed eater and expect to catch a shooting star.
11:05 AM
Um, exactly...
Like I always say: you can't send a replacement keyboard to NW and expect it to end up at VY.
3:20 PM
By the way, feels, you do what you want seeing as how this blog is yours to do with as you please.
3:22 PM
Nat Wu, if that IS his REAL name, makes a reasonable request.
4:24 PM
Alright guys, you kicked us off and so far we've had the courtsey not to come over here and post comments about it. But it is not cool to kick us off and then make comments rubbing it in. And John, your comment only continues to confirm the real reasons why you removed us from your blog.
10:14 AM
So what?
10:59 AM
I believe your earlier post propsed a truce. Was that false?
12:43 PM
John, your continued actions and comments here put to lie what you said in your post, and your private emails to me. And you are making that clear for the non-Horadrim people who read this. But, so what, right?
1:36 PM
Ok.
1.) I did propose a truce. The terms were that I would stop commenting on TWM and NathansBooks. I have done just that.
2.) What, exactly, am I "put[ting] to lie?"
I didn't offend you here, Feels Like Nine did. I'm only defending his right to do what he wants on his own blog. Sorry that you can't cope with that.
If you can't be tolerant of our discussions on our own blog then maybe you shouldn't waste your time here.
1:49 PM
It appears that Seamus doesn't want to be friends with some of you anymore so maybe it would be best to respect his wishes.
2:59 PM
I never said I don't want to be friends with anyone. I wasn't even the one who engendered all this fury.
But if anyone thinks they can chastise a member of the Horadrim for speaking his or her mind on this blog they're just wrong.
3:41 PM
John, that is patently absurd. You did "engender" this fury by making comments in groups emails that some would find offensive or at least uncomfortable, by coming over to our blog to comment on stories (which unlike you we welcome) and then when you are vigorously disagreed with there, responding vindictively by removing people from a blog they have been a part of for two years, so that you may restrict Horadrim to "like-minded" people. As I have stated in conversation between us, this is yours and your friends' blog, and you can do what you like. But just because you CAN do something (make fun of the people recently kicked off thus showing a lack of class, and showing an utter lack of respect for Nat-Wu's polite request-not chastisment-not to have his real name used) does not mean that you SHOULD do them. Your actions to this point have showed that you are more interested in being right than being fair, and more concerned that you eliminate people who do not share your viewpoint rather than maintain them as friends.
8:38 PM
Ok, Xanthippas, for the last time...
Just look around you and think about this. Your conspiracy theory is a little childish. Look at who is posting and commenting here:
Feels Like Nine
cbiggie
The SARS
Kou
Seamus
The Horadrim is back and we reclaimed our webspace. It is as simple as that.
Sorry.
7:10 AM
Who posts? I'm having trouble figuring out who you are based on that screen name.
6:22 PM
Alright. I apologize for using a real name and won't do it in the future; however, I seriously doubt any third party viewing the blog would have known (or cared about) what the hell I was talking about.
Also, I don't understand how Seamus is getting all the heat when I was the one who posted the a-hole remark in the first place. Bring some of that love to me!
Also, I heard word there is (or was) a Mavericks blog. Does this exist anymore? If not, I would be interested in starting it back up again.

The Set the Record Straight
After all the recent outbursts and anger through various emails (public and private), comments, and the like, I felt it was necessary to give a more thorough explanation of why the Horadrim has recently changed.
1.) The most obvious reason is that the Horadrim Blog was severely under-utilized by the very people it was designed to accommodate. This change was designed, and has so far been successful, in changing that.
2.) The Horadrim Members were unable to post "serious" (partisan or othersise) topics, especially from a conservative viewpoint, without an uproar.
The TWM, in particular, have been intent on illustrating that the hidden motive behind this change was to create a space of "like-minded individuals". This is right in a sense that they do not mean and wrong in the sense that they do.
By restricting the Horadrim to the actual "Horadrim" (which is an exclusive group of good friends), we have created an atmosphere where practically any topic can be discussed without biting reprisals, angry infighting, or genuine offense. The Horadrim represents a group of people bound by friendship, not necessarily by ideals or philosophies. Within the Horadrim itself there exists a variety of opinions on all levels of significance (including politics and religion). The common point, as I said, is that the friendship is key. Even if a post of one kind might engender disagreement, the Horadrim itself remains unscathed. It is more important to keep things cordial than to determine who is right or wrong. So in this sense, the Horadrim is now a group of like-minded people: like-minded in keeping things friendly.
Friends have certain privileges that acquaintances do not. A friend can playfully jab at another about a very serious or personal topic without causing a fight or emotional damage. This is just a fact of human social behavior.
So to all the Horadrim, welcome back to your blog. Post anything and everything that you want; say anything and everything that you want. This is a place for friends.
