I bet Blizzard never saw this coming! Deckard and Griswold are probably rolling over in their graves, unless they're still in some level of hell...

Cowboy Morpheus

Apparently, Pee Wee's Playhouse comes on late at night on Cartoon Network. I had forgotten that Laurence Fishburne plays Cowboy Curtis as shown in the picture.

Plus, I think you have to be high as a kite to understand this show. It's downright frightening at times.

Yeah, I saw a commercial with Pee Wee dancing around in a giant pair of briefs on cartoon network during bobobo bobobobo, and it was very alarming.

By the way, that's got to be the best picture of cowboy curtis ever. It captures his resentment at being part of the show forever, commemorated on blogs and websites.

And then Pee Wee will randomly declare it's time to dance. It suddenlty becomes a montage of Pee Wee superimposed on a bunch of weird images that are more fit for nightmares than children's shows. I'll have to make time to watch it more often. I think it comes on at 10pm.

Wasn't there a chair whose face was the seat?

Yes. And on last night's episode, Pee Wee was making "Ice Cream Soup" by mixing vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. The chocolate syrup dispenser was also a character. When you pushed down on his head, thick chocolate poured out of his nose into the ice cream.

Now when you say "a character," do you mean like a ceramic object or an actual person?

It was a puppet.

So, unfortunately, it was just some stagehand with a bottle of chocolate syrup in his hand, and not some kind of terrible mutant?

Wow, I can see now why Morpheus was trying to be such a "badass" in The Matrix. He had to make up for this!

No, unfortunately, it wasn't a mutant. But Paul Reubens might be. Geez, according to IMDB he's almost 54 years old! Born in 1952.

What's scarier is that he wore absolutely no makeup during the filming of Pee Wee's Play House.

Oh my! I just watched an episode where Pee Wee was making hot chocolate and decided he needed some whipped cream to go in it. After watching in horror as the whipped cream was gleefully squirting all over the other food items, Pee Wee took the can out of the fridge and tried to put some in his drink. He exclaimed "It won't stop squirting! Help!" as the cream began to fire out of control. Unfortunately, "Help" was the word of the day, so the episode faded to commercial to the sound of screaming as Pee Wee creamed the table, the floor and, finally, the camera.
